Discovering, learning, and practicing the basic maneuvers like tacking, jibing, man overboard (M.O.B.) drills, and adjusting the sails. Spending hours at sea to gradually reach a point where decision-making becomes automatic, and developing your senses—feeling the wind direction without instruments, spotting incoming gusts, handling waves, and much more. It's about building a kind of knowledge that only comes through time spent sailing.

Step aboard for a full-day experience on a comfortable sailing boat as we head south from Gran Harbour Marina, embracing the sea, the wind, and the wonders of the marine environment. This is more than just a boat trip—it’s a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with nature, guided by expert marine biologists actively engaged in research and conservation in Maltese waters.

A key highlight of the day is our Marine Life Spotting session, with a focus on observing bottlenose dolphins. While sightings cannot be guaranteed, if dolphins are encountered, guests will have the unique opportunity to contribute directly to ongoing scientific research. Photographs will be taken for photo-identification, an essential method for studying local dolphin populations.

By participating, guests become active contributors to marine conservation, helping increase our collective knowledge of these protected species and their habitat.

14-day sailing expedition across the Central and South Mediterranean.

Starting and ending in Gozo, this offshore loop connects the Pelagie Islands, Pantelleria, and the south coast of Sicily. This is not a classic charter holiday. It is a multi-day sailing expedition built around real navigation, shared life on board, and exploration at sea. Plans are shaped by weather and sea state, not by a fixed tour schedule.

The route combines daylight sailing with longer offshore crossings, plus coastal navigation around volcanic islands and sparsely populated areas. Stops at anchor or in port are planned when conditions allow, leaving space for swimming, fishing, rest, and time ashore to explore local landscapes and communities. Depending on conditions, the Sicily leg may include towns and stretches such as Sciacca, Licata, and nearby coastal areas.

Offshore passages take place in waters known for rich marine ecosystems. Encounters with dolphins or sea turtles are possible, but never guaranteed and depend entirely on natural conditions.

Life on board follows the rhythm of the sea. Days are shaped by route choices discussed during daily briefings with the skipper and crew. Guests are welcome to take part in onboard routines and navigation activities according to their skills and interests, within a safe and supportive environment.

The boat
You will sail on YEMANJA, a 17m motorsailer set up for multi-day routes. The boat offers 5 double cabins and 5 bathrooms with shower, supporting comfort and privacy during longer loops. Onboard equipment and autonomy are designed for offshore passages and shared life at sea.

7-day sailing expedition across the Sicily Channel

Starting and ending in Gozo, this offshore loop focuses on the Pelagie Islands and connects Linosa, Lampedusa, and the remote rock of Lampione. This is not a classic charter holiday. It is a multi-day sailing expedition built around real navigation, shared life on board, and exploration at sea. Plans are shaped by weather and sea state, not by a fixed tour schedule.

The route begins with a long first crossing from Gozo to Linosa, followed by a day of coastal sailing around Linosa’s volcanic shoreline and small bays. The loop then continues with an offshore passage to Lampedusa, where days are dedicated to coastal navigation on both the east and west sides. Stops are planned for swimming and lunch in clear-water coves, with time ashore in the evenings to enjoy the town and local food culture when conditions allow.

A dedicated day sail reaches Lampione, an uninhabited rock in the open sea, for a remote swim and snorkelling stop over clear seabed. The final stage completes the loop with the offshore passage back to Gozo.
